CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Dec. 2015)– PointGuard, a building analytics service company, will have a presence at American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy’s (ACEEE) second Intelligent Efficiency Conference in Boston on Dec. 7 as PointGuard’s CEO Shannon Smith will speak on the topic of “Overcoming Barriers to Energy Efficiency” as it specifically relates to commercial customers. Chief Building Performance Engineer Derek McGarry will speak next week at the ACEEE on the benefits of energy efficiency programs. PointGuard also serves as a Gold Ally partner for ACEEE.
Smith’s presentation on Dec. 7 will cover a range of subject areas from what is preventing commercial customers from adopting energy efficiency to how information and communications technology (ICT) can be used to overcome barriers in the industry. McGarry’s presentation, also on Dec. 7, will highlight topics such as, the opportunities available to incorporate co-benefits of energy efficiency programs into program design and what impacts on the economy will result from information and communications technology (ICT) and intelligent efficiency
